Homelessness Affects Unborn Children

This is a 4-d ultrasound of an unborn child yawning.

Did you know babies in the womb can yawn as early as 12 weeks?

Did you know that 35 percent of women coming into homeless shelters are pregnant?

Did you know that one-fifth of homeless women are so hopeless they abuse drugs and alcohal while pregnant?

Did you know homeless women suffer from chronic and acute medical problems which affect their baby's development?

Did you know 50 percent of pregnant homeless women do not receive prenatal care during their 1rst trimester?

Did you know that by the end of the second trimester, everytime a mother's heartrate goes up from stress or anxiety, her child's heart rate also goes up? (Imagine the number of times a homeless woman's heartrate goes up.)

  3. Your welcome, Mrs. Mac. Because of recent experiences, I'm just learning a lot of this myself. And I'm looking for answers as to what should be done about these things.
